Navodaya Vidyalaya Samthi invites applications for JNVST-2022 (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test) for Admissions to class VI at Javahar Navodaya Vidyalas(JNVs).

The National Policy of Education (1986) give rise to Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalayas (JNVs) for providing good quality modern education. Government of India administers JNVs by an autonomous organization Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. JNVs are co-educational residential institutions funded and administered by the Government of India.

 

ADMISSION

Admissions in JNVs are based on Merit obtained through the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA TEST (JNVST)

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test – 2022

Test for admission to Class-VI for the academic session 2022-23 will be held On Saturday, the 30th April, 2022 at 11.30 A.M in one phase for all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The last date to submit online application is 30th November, 2021.

 

About the Test

Duration of the test will be two-hours from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm.

Questions will be objective type from 3 sections.

There will be 80 questions in total.

#A separate OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet will be provided for marking answers.

#No negative marking will be done.

 

RESULT

The result of JNVST-2022 is expected to be announced by June 2022.

 

FEES

Education in the vidhyalayas are free* including board & lodging, uniform and textbooks.

ELIGIBLILITY

A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2009 and after 30-04-2013 (Both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories

A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2021-22 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized schools or ‘B’ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

The candidate who has already passed/studied class V in all previous academic sessions is not eligible to appear in the selection test.

A Candidate claiming admission under rural quota must have studied and passed classes III, IV and V from a Govt. / Govt. aided / recognized school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in rural area.

A Candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 15th September, 2021 is not eligible to apply.

 

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AFTER SELECTION

  • Proof for date of birth
  • Proofs for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS.
  • For candidates seeking admission under rural quota, the parents will also have to submit a certificate from the competent authority to the effect that the child had studied in an Institution / School located in a rural area.
  • Residence Certificate in prescribed format in case of NIOS studies only
  • Any other documents required
