PM-KISAN

PM-KISAN is a scheme launched by the Government of India to channel income support to small & marginal landholding farmer families.

The scheme is fully funded by the government and become operational from 1.12.2018 onwards. The programme provides serves the farmers as an aid for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs.

BENEFIT

An amount of ₹ 6000 per year (for each family in three equal instalments, every four months)

ELIGIBILITY

Farmer families holding cultivable land upto 2 hectare

AVAILABILITY

The fund will be credited to the bank account of the beneficiary.

INELIGIBLE CATEGORY

Beneficiaries of higher economic status are not eligible for benefits under the scheme such as;

1. Institutional Land holders
2. Beneficiary of one or more of the following categories;

• Present or former holder of constitutional position
• Present or former Ministers, MPs, MLAs
• Present or former Mayors (Municipal Corporations)
• Present or former Chairpersons (District Panchayats)
• Officers & employees in-service or retired from Central or State Government / PSEs and Autonomous Institutions under Govt. (Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees are excluded)
• Pensioner, if monthly pension is ₹10000 or higher. (Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees are excluded)
• All Income Tax payers of last assessment year
• Registered Professionals (Doctors/Engineers/Lawyers/CAs/ Architects) etc.
