Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination HSEE

Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam (HSEE) is an entrance examination conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) for admissions to five-year integrated Master of Arts (MA) programme offered by the college.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is a premiere institute of the nation established through the Parliament Act of 1959. IITM stands in front in case of quality education in Humanities, Sciences, Engineering, Management and Technology at UG/PG level.

1. Integrated M.A. in Development Studies
2. Integrated M.A. in English Studies

About HSSE

HSEE is a 3 Hrs duration Exam having two parts.

Par-1 includes objective type multiple choice questions which is a computer based test.

Part-2 is descriptive type i.e essay writing, to be written on answer sheet distributed to the candidates at the end of Part I.

SCHEDULE OF HSEE-2022

The HSSE2022 will be conducted on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at selected exam centres throughout India.

ELIGIBILITY

Qualifying Examination:

Applicants should have qualified Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

Age:

Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1^st October 1997 are eligible.

Examination Fee:

1. For SC\ST\PwD Rs. 1200/-
2. All other category Rs. 2400/-

Requirements for Applying

1. Candidate’s signature & photograph.
2. 10^th STD Public Examination certificate.
3. 10+2 class mark sheet
4. Category certificate (GEN-EWS-Undertaking / OBC-NCL-Undertaking /SC / ST) if applicable.
5. PwD/Dyslexia/Scribe certificate, if applicable.

Application Deadline

Option A

The application and payment to be completed by 27^th April, 2022

Option B

The application and payment to be completed by 28^th April, 2022.

Admit cards

Admit cards will be available from May 30, 2022 (10 AM) to June 12, 2022 (9 AM)
